7th August 1941. So far in this war the Soviet Union has lost 13,145 tanks, 10,388 artillery guns, 9,082 aircraft captured or destroyed and 895,000 Soviets are POWs.

10th August 1941. In two battles in the Ukraine, 141,000 POWs taken.

13th August 1941. 41 RAF machines shot down over west Germany and the Channel, 11 bombers and 30 fighters for no losses to ourselves!
